Where in Manhattan do you go when you want to escape the city hustle and enjoy a more natural setting?

 

On Eldridge Street, close to Canal street. (No one really speaks English there and they have great food.)

Either the Strand Books or Printed Matter, buy a book or

zine for 10 dollars or less.

East Boardway Mall under Manhattan Bridge, you will discover lots of unexpected things.

Chelsea – 601 W 26th street.

From Lower East Side to Chinatown in Manhattan and Chelsea.

Which block would you tell a friend visiting Manhattan for the first time not to miss? Why?

 

For a first time visit, I recommend Times Square, because

it was pretty shocking when I saw it for the first time.

Where was your first job in Manhattan located?

 

Maxim Magazine – close to Bryant Park in Midtown.

Visiting which three places makes a perfect day in Manhattan? Why?

 

Go to Whitney Museum, then MoMA, and then the New Museum, afterwards go to Chinatown for dinner. This would be a great fun and busy day.

If you could display your best project anywhere in Manhattan, where

would you choose to and why?

 

Chinatown, because I like the Chinese culture, and I feel this area

hasn't been discovered or explored like other Manhattan places.

Where in Manhattan do you celebrate when you finish a project?

 

Yummy noodles, and they open until 4am.

Favorite interior design space?

 

The New Museum store on Bowery Street.

If you could live in any building in Manhattan, which one would it be? Why?

 

31 Canal Street, it used to be Loew's Canal Street Theatre 60 years ago, now it's just an abandoned building. This will be a good spot for artist's spaces or studios.
